So, let's get on to the day at hand, and as I always say, I have two incredible ladies to introduce you to. First up is Joyree of http://joyful-expressions.blogspot.com/ She has the loveliest smile and such a happy personality. Here's a little about her,
"I am a semi-retired business owner-secretary-bookkeeper. My husband still works all the time. I spend a lot of time sewing these days and reading blogs of others who sew."
She also posts some fun videos, so make sure you check out her blog.
Didn't I tell you that she that she has the loveliest smile?!
The jacket below is a sweatshirt refashion. Super cute.
Joy does not limit her sewing to clothing. Look at this lovely quilt top,Mary Bridge Children's Hospital pillowcase project. They just arrived a couple of days ago. I've photographed them, but haven't posted them yet.
I know that you'll enjoy getting to know Joy just as much as I have!
Next up is another lovely lady with the best title to her blog, http://www.frogsinabucket.blogspot.com/. Here's her description of her life in Oklahoma, "I am the mom of four boys and one girl. I've been married to the same great guy for 22 years. I'm a transplanted southerner originally from Savannah, Georgia. I love sewing and needlework of all kinds. Fabric and fancy threads and fibers are my addiction. In addition to the fiber arts, I also love to read and write. Fiction, Sci-fi and fantasy, are my preference, although I will pretty much read anything, I love it so much. My greatest aspiration, besides using up my fabric stash, is to one day write a novel and have it published. I figure I actually have a much better chance at the latter than the former." Shannon has 5 children!!! How does she ever have time for herself?!!
Below is McCall's 5859 and she calls it Flamingo power. Cute.
So there you have it, two more ladies who are making the world around them a little more beautiful, one stitch at a time :)
Have a wonderful day!
